The Tweel Airless Tyre was first developed in 2005 by Michelin.
The Tweel name is a combination of the words tyre and wheel.
Tweel's hub connects to flexible polyurethane spokes which are used to support an outer rim.
What is AIRLESS TYRES?
Airless tyres are the one in which have no tubes .
There are sheer band,deformable wheel,flexible spokes & layer of tread.
A solid inner hub mounts to the axle.
Hub surrounded by polyurethane spokes arrayed in a pattern of wedges
A sheer band is stretched across the spokes, forming the outer edge of the tyre.
Why we need AIRLESS TYRES?
Pneumatic tyres undergo puncture,which leads to failure.
